Coming to Dubrovnik and Apartments Bajo by car

If you are coming by car, you have several possibilities (check conditions on the road at: http://www.hak.hr/en):

1. If you are coming from Dubrovnik (east) direction - follow the signs towards Split. You will pass accross the hanging bridge Dr. Franjo Tuđman. Drive straight by the main road. Within 1.5 km between the bridge and Vrbica 1, on your right side you will see: the yellow traffic sign Lozica, then the speed restriction traffic sign 70, then 40 and the dark blue table with white letters ULICA VRBICA (before the sharp right curve where the turning point to VRBICA 1 is). But because of the solid line on the main road and poor visibility on the sharp right curve above our house (marked by yellow/red traffic signs > > > on the left), please drive further for about 600-900 m from there (until you find a suitable place to turn right from the main road) and turn the car around. If not before - you can do that at the turning to village Štikovica from the main road AND DRIVE TOWARDS DUBROVNIK again...
   Then please follow the instructions for coming from the west direction (2.b).
2. If you are coming from Split (west) direction by the main road D8:
   • On your way from Ploče towards Dubrovnik keep driving on main road. Aproximately after 1 hour later last villages before us are: Zaton Veliki, Zaton Mali and Štikovica.
   • When you reach traffic signs Štikovica and Vrbica - keep driving towards Dubrovnik straight on the main road for 1 km further. Within that 1 km distance you will pass (on your right side): adveritising table "Paradis apartments", dark blue table with white letters VRBICA, the bus stop, a large brown sign/photo "RIJEKA DUBROVAČKA", and (after 200 m) you will see 8 identical yellow/red traffic signs < < < (warning for the sharp left curve on the road) and the dark blue table with white letters ULICA VRBICA.
     Immediately after that ULICA VRBICA sign YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO TURN TO THE RIGHT through the passage in the protective fence at the extension of the main road (as shown on the photo to the right). That turning spot is 20 m before two yellow traffic signs Zaton and Lozica (on the right) representing the end of the village Zaton and the begining of the village Lozica (following by the large brown sign/photo Lozica).
     Near blue water hydrant please drive 100 m downhill to the end, then turn to the left, drive to the end of the private street and park the car only on the VRBICA 1 (Apartments Bajo) parking places numbered with 1-3 or behind two green-door garages at parking places numbered with 4-5 (based on availability).

BEFORE COMING TO APARTMENT AND BECAUSE THE NEAREST SHOP IS 3 KM FROM US:

We recommend you to buy some basic food/drink supplies you might need (water in the apartment is good for drinking).
At Dubrovnik Main bus station - in the grocery store STUDENAC MARKET across the road, or in a bigger, better supplied shopping center Super KONZUM which entrance is 100 m away, where you will also find ATM (cash machine).
From the west direction the GROCERY SHOPS BEFORE YOU REACH US in Zaton Mali (3.5 km before) are STUDENAC.

Traveling to Dubrovnik and Apartments Bajo by plane

From the Airport to Main Bus Station in Dubrovnik ferry Port in the bay Gruž you can take a shuttle bus (the ticket costs between 10-14 EUR per person and can be bought at the desk before you exit the airport building). At the end Dubrovnik Airport shuttle bus stops at PILE Gate in front of Dubrovnik Old Town, continuing afterwards to the Main Bus Station in the Ferry Port (where is its last point). From there you need other kind of transportation to VRBICA 1 (Apartments Bajo).
If you intend to visit interesting places arround Apartments Bajo you'll feel more comfortable if you rent a car immediately at the Dubrovnik Airport or you can come to us first (by our pickup service or by bus, taxi, Uber etc.) and get a car or scooter next day.
To reach us from Airport with car please drive to the west towards Dubrovnik (and Split) for about 24 km and 30 minutes. On your way are villages: Zvekovica, Obod, Plat, Soline, Mlini, Srebreno, Kupari - keep driving straight. When you come above Dubrovnik do not turn right (in the town) but proceed further towards Split, across the bridge ("dr. Franjo Tuđman"), drive about 2 km and there's our address VRBICA 1 (see above directions under no. 1 and 2.b).

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

For Dubrovnik Airport arrivals and coming by rented car we suggest you to stop for basic food/drink supplies at the first grocery shop STUDENAC on your way to us, 1 km from Dubrovnik Airport (in the village Mocici, on the left side of the main road) or few kilometers further at TOMMY (in the village Obod, on the right side of the main road) - both open till 21:00.
15 kilometers from Dubrovnik Airport (or 10 km from us) there are also LIDL and KAUFLAND shops.
